The Need
Seeking to expand into local and European markets required a extensive brand identity renewal to support their sales and investor potential. The renewed brand needed to communicate the benefits better for each customer and should not have a too start-up engineer approach.
The identity in which the company was founded with, was in need for an upgrade. With a focus on the core identity elements, tonality and the product imagery.
The Solution
The visual identity is driven by a smart tech, bold and straight-forward approach, cutting through the noise to stand out.
The principle identity assets were driven by the product itself. Using the hexagonal shape on the front air filter panel of the energy storage cell. This foundational form language were embedded into the finer details of the logotype and supporting graphical elements.
Renewing the product imagery was essential in communicating the innovation to potential customers. Through focused details and suggestive location end-use of the energy cells. The focused set of images offer a high quality asset which can be used in a broad end use.
The colour world has roots in the foundational identity. The colours now have a electric brightness paired with a earthed base colour.
The Client
Cactos is a sustainable energy storage company based in Muhos, Finland. Through upcycling of EV-Batteries used in electric vehicles, the team restore them to fully operational condition using their technological solutions. Therefore recycling the technology breathes new life into old batteries and reduces the need for manufacturing of new batteries, mitigating environmental impact.
At the moment Cactos energy cell units are used mainly within commercial and industrial settings, with ambitions to grow into consumer product. All units are hand made in Muhos by a growing team of specialists.
The Cactos One cells are part of the grid infrastructure, and are capable of reserve power, peak-shaving, or load shifting. Users can monitor the energy consumption through Cactos Spine energy dashboard.
